LiFePO4 for B2B conversion projects
Lead-acid replacement batteries need a system check, not just a capacity swap.
LiFePO4 can be a strong deep-cycle alternative for suitable applications, but battery voltage, charging behavior, current limits, temperature conditions and installation dimensions must be reviewed as a package.
How to assess a lead-acid replacement project
First identify the existing battery's role: auxiliary deep-cycle power, backup, solar storage, engine starting or a specialist duty. The verified platforms on this site are deep-cycle LiFePO4 directions. They should not be promoted as engine-starting batteries without a dedicated design and written validation.
Five conversion checks
- Voltage: confirm nominal and charging voltage are compatible with the system.
- Energy: compare stored energy in Wh, daily load and expected usable reserve.
- Power: compare continuous and peak DC current with real loads.
- Charging: inspect solar, mains and alternator/DC-DC charging sources.
- Physical fit: validate dimensions, terminals, mounting, cables and protection.
Available reference platforms
Start with 12V 100Ah, 12V 300Ah or 24V 100Ah, then submit the application brief for final selection.
